Golang Job: Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the team to help develop and oversee code releases and manage the infrastructure that's needed to support software code in our cloud environments. The Senior DevOps Engineer will help provision required resources, select an appropriate deployment model, direct the testing protocol to validate release and monitor performance after release.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the build, release, and deploy pipelines

• Setup, manage and maintain parity across development, staging and production application environments in cloud infrastructure

• Provide release cadence across multiple environments

• Design and implement monitoring infrastructure development (IaaC)

• Provide support for production operations

• Hands-on engineering

• Living a DevOps mindset. Automate, embrace everything-as-code!

• Align with other DevOps/Cloud practices in Roche LabInsights Chapter

In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision.

This position will be located in Sant Cugat (Spain).

Who you are

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with experience in infrastructure automation and Cloud serverless services, to develop and streamline processes behind our Navify platform. Hands-on experience with AWS including proficiency of container orchestration and microservices.

Strong knowledge in Cloud Computing with emphasis on AWS and its related serverless services (Lambda, ECS, EKS, SQS, SNS, KMS, DynamoDB, Step-Functions) and good understanding of networking and related protocols; must have a strong understanding of fundamentals (HTTP, DNS, TLS).

You also bring experience provisioning infrastructure through Infrastructure as code (preferably Terraform) deployed via pipelines in GitHub/GitLab.

You have a University degree in computer science, engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience.

In addition, you bring:

• Proficiency with GIT source control

• Drive to build robust automated logging, monitoring, and alerting systems

• Strong communications skills.

• Team and customer focus with a proven problem-solving track record.

• Software development lifecycle experience, the ability to work on cross-functional teams with both technical and non-technical team members, and the desire to learn and grow within the organization.

• Drive and support best practice, quality, and consistency within all phases of infrastructure automation.

• Be able to provide accurate work estimates based on business requirements, analyze and deliver high-quality solutions to meet evolving business needs.

• Work with a DevOps mindset.

• Have strong motivation to learn and discover new technologies.

Nice to have would be

• AWS Certifications (Developer, Solution Architect [Associate / Professional], SysOps)

• Programming skills: Experience in any one or more : C / GoLang / Ruby / Python
